1939 BMW R12

This is my second of two BMW R12 motorcycles. I acquired this bike in June of 2007. I purchased the bike in Maryland. This R12 was imported in the late 1980's from Estonia. It is in the same condition it was in when it was imported. I am the third owner of this bike since it entered the USA.

This R12 was manufactured on August 1st, 1939 and delivered on August 2nd, 1939 to the BMW dealer Lier & Rossbaum in Tallinn, Estonia. This bike was most likely requisitioned for military use. The bike is currently missing many parts or has incorrect replacement parts. I am currently sourcing replacement parts. I plan to start restoration on this machine sometime soon.
