1939 BMW R12

This is my second of two BMW R12 motorcycles. I acquired this bike in June of 2007.I purchased the bike from Maryland. This R12 was imported in the late 1980's from Estonia. It is in the same condition it was in when it was imported. I am the third owner of this bike since it entered the USA.

This R12 was manufactured on August 1st, 1939 and delivered on August 2nd, 1939 to the BMW dealer Lier & Rossbaum in Tallinn, Estonia. This bike was most likely requisitioned for military use. The Bike is currently in bad shape. It is missing many parts or has incorrect replacement parts. I am currently sourcing replacement parts. I plan to start restoration on this machine sometime in early 2008.
